GABWA is a motivational networking platform for professional women across Australia, where you can connect with members, assist others in their career journey and broaden your own horizon.

We are a national organisation dedicated to promoting the success of German and German-speaking women in Australia, whether you own a business, looking for a career change, or are simply starting out in Australia. Our organisation focuses on connecting women of any stage in their lives, providing resources and support, and helping them achieve their career goals while making a positive impact in their communities.

Since its inception in 2015 in Sydney and Melbourne, GABWA has expanded across Australia, with chapters now in Brisbane and Newcastle (2017), Hobart (2022), and Perth (2025), along with a total of 13 State Ambassadors. 2025 marks GABWA’s 10th anniversary, a milestone that also sees us officially becoming a Not-for-Profit organisation. To celebrate, we were invited to visit the German Embassy in Canberra, where our entire team gathered for the first time for a special visit.
