About the event
Over the past 100 years, most of us in the Western world have managed to outsource , sanitise, and distance death from the rest of our lives. As a result, there are many misconceptions and myths surrounding death and dying, and a great deal of fear.
So let’s talk about it. Let’s discuss the importance of death literacy, the challenges faced when being far away from family – whether overseas or interstate – and the things we can do in preparation. We’ll also talk about conversations we should be having with family and friends to make life (and death) easier for everyone.
